High School Requirements

Concurrent and dual-credit enrollment is a great way to get a jump start on college and explore career options. To be eligible to take concurrent and dual-credit classes you must meet the eligibility requirements below.

You must be classified as a sophomore, junior or senior according to the standards established at your high school.
Freshmen classified as gifted can also be qualified with the submission of an Individual Education Plan to the Butler Registrar office.
You must meet the GPA and/or placement score requirements (either ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER) to take classes. If you do not have ACT or SAT scores, you will need to take all three sections of the ACCUPLACER test at one of our testing centers. Your cumulative high school GPA may qualify you for courses requiring writing and reading scores. Bring your scores and/or high school transcript (with cumulative GPA) with you when you come to enroll.
